We will be sharing a little of its history, one of their most popular lines, and some must have care tips!
In 1884, Karl Elsener founded his cutler’s business and developed the original Swiss Army Knife only a few years later. However, it was not until 1989 that his company, known as Victorinox, started creating watches. The goal – to create timepieces that looked amazing but still had the durability to withstand the lifestyles of Victorinox’s customer base. The Switzerland based company now offers watches in many different styles that are useful for a range of different activities. You can even switch up the accessories on certain styles! We would say that Victorinox has come a long way since 1884.
I.N.O.X. Firefighter Edition – I.N.O.X. Carbon
The Victorinox family has had a long-standing relationship with firefighters in both Switzerland and New York City. Their production lines dealt with hot steel, so it was a high priority that they learned to protect their people, their facility, and their product. Over many years, a bond was created and the Victorinox team partnered up with firefighters to create a watch that could help save lives. The first watch released was the special I.N.O.X. Firefighter edition. Before its release, it went through 130 ruthless tests including falling from a three-story building, being run over by a fire truck, and surviving boiling and freezing conditions. They wanted a watch that was going to match the durability and strength of a firefighter. This piece sold out within days, but you can now buy the second edition, I.N.O.X. Carbon!
